Accessibility Policy

Orbiss Inc. wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use www.orbiss.com (our “Website”), read our content and get in touch with us. This policy explains what we do to make the Website accessible, where we know it still falls short, and how to contact us if something doesn’t work for you.

Our goal

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as the reference when we build and update the Website. We work toward meeting these guidelines; we have not yet had the Website audited against them by an independent party.

What we do

  • The Website is available in English, French and Spanish, and each page tells browsers and screen readers which language it is in.
  • Pages use a clear heading structure, with one main heading per page.
  • Images that carry information have a text description (alt text) in the page’s language; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • A “Skip to content” link at the top of each page lets keyboard users go straight to the main content.
  • Our videos have subtitles in English, French and Spanish that you can turn on or off, and our video series pages also offer a written transcript.
  • The rotating photos in our page banners stop when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Video pop-ups can be closed with the Escape key.

Known limitations

  • Some content on the Website is provided by other companies, such as our contact forms and their spam protection, and the job listings on our Careers page. We choose these services with care, but we don’t control how accessible they are.
  • The videos in our “Paying Vendors in the U.S.” series show English captions built into the picture, in addition to the subtitles you can turn on or off.
  • The animated lines on the world map on our Home page keep moving even when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Articles, podcasts and other content on external websites that we link to are not covered by this policy.

Feedback and help

If you have difficulty using any part of the Website, or need information from it in another format, please contact us. Tell us the address of the page and what went wrong, and we will do our best to help and to provide the information another way, for example by email or by phone.

Ongoing work

We check accessibility when we add or change pages, and we update this policy as the Website changes.
